Anyone can contribute to the project in two main ways.

Feedback#

If you’d like to request a new feature or share feedback about any aspect of the plugin, you can do so by creating an issue on gitlab with the appropriate label.

Troubleshooting#

If you encounter a bug or believe that an algorithm is not behaving as intended, please open an issue on gitlab and apply the Bug label.

To help us diagnose the problem:

  • Open HedgeTools settings in QGIS (Plugins → HedgeTools → Settings) and enable Debug mode.

  • Rerun the algorithm that produced the error.

  • Copy and paste the complete error message along with the parameter values you used into your GitLab issue.

We also recommend including:

  • A brief description of your processing workflow

  • Which algorithms you ran (and with which parameters)

  • A small data sample, if possible

This information greatly helps us reproduce and resolve issues more quickly.
